Restoring Beauty, Inside and Out
Many people overlook the beauty in old, worn-out furniture—tossing it in a corner, a basement, or even the trash. But I see something more. I see the value in pieces with missing hardware and years of dings and scratches. In many ways, these pieces reflect us—we, too, can feel worn down and broken.
But thankfully, God doesn’t discard us. Instead, when we surrender to Him and accept Him as Lord, He restores us. He takes our brokenness, mends the damage, and transforms us from the inside out—making us new.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”— 2 Corinthians 5:17
When I restore furniture, I see a reflection of my own journey. I see how God has taken my broken pieces, repaired them, and continues to refine me every day. He has stripped away the undesirable and replaced it with patience, humility, kindness, and forgiveness. And just like these pieces, I may still face wear and tear, but He is always there, ready to restore what is damaged.
Each piece you see here has been carefully restored with love and patience—just as God restores us.
